April Peace Service focused on poetry

The April installment of our monthly Peace Prayer Service was a little different, as we gathered to pray and share in the poetry of peace. Although we didn't have anyone bring their own original poetry to share, we still had plenty of peace poems to mull over and everyone went home with several pages of poetry to read and reflect on in their own time. This month's collection will support the organization Witness for Peace.

Our Peace Prayer Service is held the first Monday of every month, and is meant to be inclusive of all people who wish to gather to pray for peace, no matter their religious background. The specific style of each service tends to vary from month to month, but we typically pray together and individually, engage in quiet or guided meditation, listen to music, hear testimonies from peacemakers, and share our thoughts on the need for peace. Come and join us!
